As someone who plays a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, I can tell you that there’s nothing more annoying than having to sit through the game’s intro every time you start it up. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to skip it!
Here’s how you do it:
First, open up the Left 4 Dead 2 game folder. For me, this is located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2". Yours may be different, depending on where you have Steam installed.
Once you’re in the game folder, look for a file called "gameinfo.txt". Open this file with a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit.
Scroll down until you see the line that says "Startup Menu". Underneath that, you’ll see a line that says "Map". Change the word "intro" to "credits" and save the file.
Now when you start Left 4 Dead 2, it will go straight to the credits instead of the intro video!
