Do you want to add a little extra challenge to your Left 4 Dead 2 game? Or maybe you’re just a big fan of zombies and want to see them everywhere! Either way, you’ll need to know how to spawn zombies in Left 4 Dead 2.
Step 1: Open the console. You can do this by pressing the tilde key (~) while in the game.
Step 2: Type the following command into the console: z_spawn [number of zombies] [zombie type]
There are four different types of zombies that you can spawn:
• common – your standard zombie
• special – a zombie with special abilities, like the Boomer or the Tank
• rare – a zombie that is not as common, like the Witch or the Charger
• unique – a zombie that can only be found in a specific campaign, like the Jockey or the Spitter
For example, if you wanted to spawn 10 common zombies, you would type: z_spawn 10 common
And that’s all there is to it! Now go forth and zombie-ify your Left 4 Dead 2 game!
