Mutations are special game modes that change up the usual Left 4 Dead 2 experience. They were first introduced in the The Passing DLC, and have been a part of the game ever since. There are currently 15 different mutations, each with its own unique twist.
What are the different mutations?
There are a variety of different mutations, each with its own unique gameplay element. Here are just a few of the mutations that are currently available:
-The Last Stand: In this mutation, you and your team must survive for as long as possible against an endless horde of zombies. The longer you survive, the more points you earn.
-Survival: This is a traditional Left 4 Dead 2 game mode, but with one twist: you can only revive teammates a limited number of times. This means that you have to be extra careful with your teammates, as one mistake could mean the end of the game.
-Infected: In this mode, one player starts out as the “infected”. This player then turns other players into zombies by attacking them. The goal of the infected is to turn all of the players into zombies, while the goal of the non-infected players is to survive.
-Tank Run: In this mode, you and your team must survive an onslaught of tank attacks. The tanks will randomly target players, so you will need to be quick on your feet to avoid being hit.
These are just a few of the many different mutations that are available in Left 4 Dead 2. So if you’re looking for something new and exciting to try, be sure to check out a mutation or two!
