Left 4 Dead 2 is a cooperative first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game is set during the aftermath of a global pandemic that has turned most of humanity into zombies.
The player takes control of one of four new survivors, each with their own unique abilities, who must work together to make their way through hordes of zombies in order to escape the infected city.
There are a number of ways to record Left 4 Dead 2 gameplay, depending on what you want to use the recording for. In-game recording:
Left 4 Dead 2 has a built-in recording tool that allows you to record your gameplay and share it with others. To access the recording tool, press the F12 key while in-game. This will bring up the recording interface.
From here, you can start and stop your recording, as well as change the quality and format of the recording. Once you’re done recording, you can find the file in your Left 4 Dead 2 installation folder.
Third-party software:
If you want to create a more polished video, you can use third-party software like Fraps or OBS. These programs allow you to record your gameplay at a higher quality and with more features than the in-game recording tool.
To use Fraps, simply launch the program and then start Left 4 Dead 2. Fraps will automatically start recording your gameplay when the game starts. To stop recording, press the F9 key. Your recording will be saved in the Fraps installation folder.
To use OBS, launch the program and then click on the "Settings" button. In the "Settings" window, click on the "Output" tab. Under "Output Mode", select "Advanced".
In the "Advanced Output Settings" window, change the "Output Format" to "MP4". This will allow you to record your gameplay as an MP4 file.
Click the "OK" button to close the "Advanced Output Settings" window. Then, click on the "Start Recording" button to start recording your gameplay. To stop recording, press the "Stop Recording" button. Your recording will be saved in the OBS installation folder.
