It’s been over 10 years since Left 4 Dead 2 was released, and fans are still wondering: is Bill alive?
The answer, unfortunately, is no. Bill was killed by the Infected during the events of Left 4 Dead 2.
How do we know this? Well, there are a few key pieces of evidence that point to Bill’s death.
First of all, when you play as Bill in Left 4 Dead 2, he always has a gravelly voice. This is because he’s been infected with the Green Flu and is slowly dying. If he were alive, he would have been cured by the time Left 4 Dead 2 takes place.
Secondly, during the course of the game, Bill is constantly doing things that put him in danger. He’s always running into dangerous situations and putting himself at risk. If he were alive, he would be more cautious.
Lastly, and most importantly, during the final cutscene of Left 4 Dead 2, Bill sacrifices himself to save the other survivors. He knows he’s going to die, but he does it anyway to give them a chance to escape.
So there you have it: Bill is dead. He died a hero’s death, saving his friends from certain doom. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
