What is mutation l4d2? Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is a cooperative first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game is set during the aftermath of an apocalyptic pandemic that has infected most of the world’s human population, turning them into zombies. The four survivors must fight their way through hordes of infected zombies, using a variety of weapons and tools.
The game’s "mutations" are special game modes that change the rules and gameplay in various ways. These mutations are typically added for a limited time, and often return as part of special events. Some examples of past mutations include: "The Last Man on Earth", where only one player is able to survive; "No Mither", where all zombies are immune to damage; and "Island of the Dead", where the survivors are stranded on an island surrounded by zombies.
Currently, the "mutations" available in L4D2 are:
"No Mercy": This mutation disables the use of first-aid kits, and the survivors can only be revived by another survivor.
"Hard Rain": This mutation causes a storm to sweep through the map, making it more difficult to see and hear the zombies. In addition, special "rain zombies" will spawn during the storm.
"Survival Mode": This mode is similar to the "Campaign" mode, but with one key difference: the survivors only have one life. If a survivor dies, they are not able to be revived.
"Versus Mode": In this mode, players take turns playing as both the survivors and the zombies. The goal is to see who can rack up the most kills.
"Scavenge Mode": This mode tasks the survivors with collecting fuel cans and bringing them back to the safe room. The zombies will try to stop the survivors from collecting the cans.
"Realism Mode": This mode makes the game more challenging by removing some of the HUD elements, and making it so that headshots are the only way to kill a zombie.
